Liquids, gels, creams and pastes

Special rules apply to liquids, gels, creams, and pastes: solely containers up to 3.4 oz / 100 ml can be placed in carry-on baggage, while larger containers must be packed in checked baggage.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has a limit when it comes to the number of such liquids that are permitted to be brought limits the amount of liquids, gels, creams, and pastes that travelers can take on board aircraft. Passengers are allowed to carry a quart-sized bag with travel containers up to 3.4 oz / 100 ml each. Regardless of the amount of product inside, larger containers must be carried in checked baggage. (Exceptions apply to medicines and infant/child nutrition).

TSA recommends separating liquids, gels, creams, and pastes from the rest of your carry-on baggage by grouping them all in a clear bag or zip-top bag to avoid delays at airport checkpoints.
